US Electricity Demand is Increasing

US Electricity demand is increasing.

After stagnating over the last decade, Goldman Sachs expects US electricity demand to rise at a 2.4% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through 2030 – adding approximately 47 gigawatts (GW) of additional power – with data centers accounting for roughly 0.90% of the 2.4% annual growth rate.

The growth needed in power generation is creating widespread investment opportunities across the traditional and renewable energy landscape, as well as in power transmission and grid modernization.
